Personal Statement:

 

Board Certified dermatologist (MD) and former Professor at the U of Kufa Medical School, Iraq. Over 15 years of clinical practice in general dermatology with special interest in cosmetic laser therapy and procedural dermatology. Accomplished post-doctoral research fellowship in the Dermatology Imaging Center, Department of Dermatology at the U of MN Medical School, Twin Cities Campus. Dr. Maluki’s research at the UMN (BSL-2 Lab) focused on the detection of re-emerging stealth pathogens using advanced skin imaging techniques, molecular diagnosis and immunohistochemistry methodologies. In addition, submitting many NIH grants and research proposals, exploring different investigative strategies to detect undiagnosed stealth pathogens, vector-borne coinfections and studying mechanisms of persistence in human tissues.
